Ready for flight with Disney’s latest animated blast “Up,” which opened May 29, Regal Cinemas has committed to show the movie in 222 locations across the country utilizing the RealD cinema system. If you’re unfamiliar with the “Up” story line, it goes something like this: elderly balloon salesman fulfills lifelong dream for great adventure by tying thousands of balloons to his house, floating away to the wilds of South Africa (unknowingly accompanied by Russell, an 8-year-old stowaway). The two experience plenty of action and adventure—all in fabulous animated 3D, of course.

The RealD projection system is complete next-gen digital 3D. Moviegoers get a real “in-your-face” 3D theater experience, using lightweight 3D glassed to get the most out of the film’s 3D effects. The bonus? You get to keep the glasses, in case you can’t find yours the next time you really need them.
